Suggest some topics!

Postby jcr4runner on Thu Feb 16, 2006 11:41 pm

I have about 40 topics on the drawing board. These will eventually make it on to the discussion forum. I've picked my favorites to begin with and the most popular topics of web pages accessed on our site. Our statistics show that people are reading these kind of articles the most.

I'd like to know which articles you have been reading on the site you would like to discuss. This SUGGESTED TOPICS area is not one of the discussion boards. Please use the existing boards. You can create also your own topics for discussion under the various board headings. But please keep them relevant to the headings or they may be deleted.

interesting, me and someone else voted for history. :)

I started to appreciate history because of homeschooling my kids.
so I was amazed at the amount of literature available most believers
have no clue about.

History is needed because part of the ignorance of believers in the
visible church sends them down the path of the ungodly.

They think they are on God's narrow path.
But the broad way is paved with ignorance and many are marching joyfully along.
SAD.

Exterminating ourselves

Postby rjr.fan on Sat May 16, 2009 6:17 pm

Around 90% of evangelical Christians in the USA are politely cooperating in a scheme for their own elimination, one that has been in action since the 1840s. Like the proverbial frogs in the kettle, we've maintained a state of denial over the generations, and have failed to notice how close to extermination we are. I mean, after all, the England that could produce a CS Lewis in one generation had only single-digit percentiles of evangelical Christians in the next.

At this point in history, around 90% of the evangelical kids walk away from God within five years of leaving home.

There is an independent variable that functions well as a predictor: Go through Door A, and the odds are 9 to 1 that your kids will not take Christianity seriously. Go through Door B, and the odds are 9 to 1 that they will.

If the eternal souls of our kids are a high-priority item, then why do 90% of American Christian families choose to go through Door A?

And what can we do to change that?
I invite you to join my adventure through the Turkish NT at http://al-ve-oku.blogspot.com
