Dear Madjid,

The Woman's Legal Action Coalition is a citizen-run watchdog organization dedicated to monitoring the quality of women's healthcare in the state of Florida. We understand that you or someone you know recently received services at Aware Woman Center for Choice in Melbourne.

We apologize for writing you, but because of suspicious activity involving deliberate concealment of certain persons entering Aware Woman, compounded by seeing no known doctors there on the day of your visit, we have reason to believe that Aware Woman may be using unlicensed doctors to perform their services. It would be a great help to our investigation if you send us a copy of your discharge papers that shows the name of the "doctor" who performed your surgery. If you send us a copy of your paperwork we will send you a copy of our investigation report when it is complete if you include your name and address. If you prefer to remain anonymous please block out your name and address when making a copy of your paperwork to send us. Since we are sending this letter to all Aware Woman patients we will not know which ones respond if the name and address are blocked out.

Obviously, since our work is ongoing, we would appreciate your not talking to Aware Woman about this investigation. Please help us to assure quality health care for the women of Florida.

The Women's Legal Action Coalition is a citizen-run watchdog organization dedicated to monitoring the quality of women's healthcare in the state of Florida.

Your vehicle being at Aware Woman Center for Choice in Melbourne on October 14, 1995 indicates that you or someone you know used their services. We want to alert you to the fact that Aware Woman is hiding the identity of the doctor they used on the day of your visit. They might not have even told you his correct name. This doctor's credentials need to be verified because of a situation that occurred recently in Pensacola where a doctor had his Florida license suspended after he was identified and it was discovered that his New York license was revoked. We suspect that something similar is going on at Aware Woman.

Dr. Randall Whitney, pictured above, is a known doctor who works at Aware Woman one or two days a week. We did not see Dr. Whitney there on the day of your surgery. Aware Woman may have used someone to operate on you and told you it was Dr, Whitney. Please check your paperwork. If Dr. Whitney's name is on your paperwork or your medication but the above picture is not of the man who operated on you, you need to contact us at once. Fraud may have been committed and the man who operated on you may not be a licensed doctor if they didn't tell you his correct name.

We have helped three women file complaints recently. All of these women are being represented by our lawyers. Our lawyers will also represent you if fraud has been committed against you or if you have been damaged by the man who operated on you. As a paying customer you have the right to know the correct name of the man who operated on you.

Many patients have been seen leaving Aware Woman in obvious distress. If you are having problems, please contact us. We can help. You might not be having problems now, but please keep this letter in case you start having problems in the next few weeks or even months.
