Dear Attorney General Reno,

Please accept the responsibility for prosecuting the above-referenced civil action on behalf of Meredith T. Raney, who, as a reproductive health service provider, has been seeking redress for several instances of harassment and intimidation.

It was only recently that I learned that the U. S. Department of Justice, was bringing civil actions for violations of the federal FACE statute which protects counselors such my client. As you know, these lawsuits can be very burdensome to pursue because of the legal expenses incurred by the plaintiff.

I understand that your attorneys are now engaged in the state of Ohio, suing in U.S. District Court for civil damages under FACE. Meredith Raney, through myself, requests the assistance of your office in the prosecution of the above-referenced federal action.

Please cause a substitution of counsel for me in accord with this request as soon as possible. Thank you for your help.
