Dear Mr. Torpy,

I am surprised and disappointed to see that you have served my client with such a horrible Subpoena Duces Tecum. Not only is this subpoena in violation of the Federal and Local Rules of Court, but I find it extraordinarily offensive, bullying, malicious, and libelous.

In addition, the notices for depositions on the 12th and 13th of May are improper.

Kindly cancel these depositions and quash the subpoena. Please notify me no later than noon on Monday, May 11, 1998 that this has been done.
