New Book!
The Symbol of Chaos is eight arrows moving in different directions in a radial pattern. In contrast, the Symbol of Law is a single arrow that can move in only one direction. The illustration is used on the cover of Aleksandr Dugin’s book, The Fourth Political Theory to represent the chaos that has emerged from Modernist political systems. Dugin’s thesis is that each civilization must adopt a single logos to unify the culture and defeat blasphemous Modernism.
In the Christian worldview, the lone arrow represents Truth and points to the Cross of Jesus Christ. In our time, the true Logos – Christ the Lord – is being revealed in all nations. A Christian civilization is emerging from under the chaos that has been strewn throughout the wreckage of Modern culture. As dawn breaks through the darkness, many will be awakened to a new understanding of the fulfillment of the Law through love and grace. Many will comprehend, as if for the first time, what it means to be truly human. We are being prepared to overcome a world system that has denied God, faith, family, and even humanity itself.
Dugin’s “Symbol of Chaos” originated from Michael Moorcock’s fantasy novel series, The Eternal Champion, and has been appropriated by numerous groups, including online gamers, anarchists, and punk rockers. The arrows designate the political subjects of the three Modernist political theories. In the peripheral wreckage are the postmodern counterfeits, the failed pseudo-political and post-humanist movements, which Dugin terms, simulacra and chimeras (simulations and monstrous hybrids). The Fourth Political Theory emerging from beneath – with the primeval energies of faith, family and culture – fortifies the Logos-centered “human beings in the world” for the battle to come.
