A war is waging on the horizon of America’s future … a spiritual war between the army of God and His opponents. I firmly believe that God has called every Christian, as one of His enlisted servants, into active duty. He has not told us to simply wait around in religious passivity while the ungodly forces in our nation exercise their authority!

This is what motivated me to get involved in the student government at the University of South Florida. I have been a student senator for two years and have had the opportunity to serve on various boards and committees that have a direct impact on student life. By next year, I believe God will open the door for me to run for the office of Student Body President.

God is raising up His army of men and women on today’s campuses who will uphold His standards, and exercise them in every area of their lives. We’re not a violent army – but an army of God’s love! As Jesus said in Matthew 5:16, we are going to let the light of Jesus Christ shine out of our lives “in such a way that men may see our good works, and glorify the Father who is in heaven.”
