“Last Sunday we had 12 professions of faith; the Sunday before that we had 18,” claims Baptist pastor, Jeff Houston serving as a military chaplain in the Middle East.
“We have four services every day; we are averaging over 160 at these services,” Houston said in a letter to friends, published in the Los Angeles Times. “The Christians are beginning to stand out like beacons and have become rallying points for soldiers.”
Houston’s letter concurs with similar reports coming from Christians serving in the Middle East. Many have expressed a belief that in the midst of war a revival has broken out. Some have experienced a renewal of their Christian faith, while others have come to the Lord for the first time as photos of desert baptismal services attest.
