Dr. William P. Egherman, abortionist at Aware Woman Center for Choice, took one of his patients from Aware Woman to Holmes Regional emergency room in his own car last Saturday night, January 31, 1998, at about 7 pm.

This was the fourth patient of Dr. Egherman’s to be sent or taken to the emergency room in the last 10 months. The previous dates are 3/29/97, 7/4/97, and 12/12/97. The first three patients were taken by ambulance as a result of a 911 call from Aware Woman. This fourth patient being taken by Dr. Egherman in his own car to the emergency room prevents another 911 call from being put on the Internet.

Christians For Life calls for the National Organization for Women and all other advocates of “safe,” legal abortion to join with us in calling for an investigation of Dr. Egherman. We obviously disagree on the personhood of unborn children, but we can certainly agree that a doctor who sends 1 out of every 200 patients directly to the emergency room is unacceptable and certainly not within anyone’s definition of “safe.”
