In the 1960s, Wenzhou City in Zhejiang Province was selected as a model for the campaign for renouncing religion. Today it is the most Christian city in China with Christians officially numbering 300,000.

The general population of Singapore is 15% Christian. Among the educated, however, the percentage of Christians is much higher. Of those who have completed high school, 30% are Christian; 41% of university students are Christian, and 73% of medical students are Christian.
