The Great Power Order

It’s not normal for the world to simply have a unipolar power. That was an anomaly. It was the product of the end of the Cold War. But eventually you were going to reach back to a point where you had a multipolar world with great powers in different parts of the planet…. So now more than ever, we need to remember that foreign policy should always be about furthering the national interest of the United States and doing so to the extent possible avoiding war and armed conflict which we have seen two times in the last century be very costly. They’re celebrating the 80th anniversary this year of the end of the Second World War. If you look at the scale and scope of destruction and loss of life that occurred it it would be far worse if we had a global conflict now and may end life on the planet.

We recently heard Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently refer to the end of the “unipolar order,” which is a term popularized in 1989 by pundit Charles Krauthammer. In his State of the Union Address speech in 1991, President George H.W. Bush began to speak of a New World Order (NWO) after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Bush spoke of the end of the Cold War, which was a long era of division between the communist world and the West (or the “free world”). This is sometimes referred to as the bipolar world order.

Is Zelenskyy really a "dictator without elections"?

President Donald Trump recently posted on Truth Social that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has continually refused to negotiate an end to the conflict with Russia calling him a “dictator without elections.”

This brought a backlash from the legacy media, including many politicians, even some in Trump’s own party, and spurred numerous posts on social media.

Is Zelenskyy really a dictator?

Or is he the heroic Churchillian figure he is made out to be?

Who is Volodymyr Zelenskyy?

A post-victory propaganda piece celebrating Volodymyr Zelenskyy more resembles the character from his sitcom, Servant of the People, than real life. There are no English subtitles, but you can see here the actor playing a role.

Why the Forever War Must Finally End

How do we describe the current shift in American and geopolitics?

The problem with terms is that they mean different things in different contexts. In Russia, the communists are right wing. In America, they are on the extreme left. Libertarianism is extreme right wing, but extreme left wing at the same time. Those terms are meaningless because they shift over place and time. The most helpful paradigm is that the political realignment is no longer horizontal — left vs. right — but vertical — populace vs. the elites. That is now a worldwide phenomenon by the way.

I’m excited about Trump’s foreign policy. He’s right more than 50 percent of the time, but he was forced to compromise with the neocons in his first term. The plus is that he was ALWAYS against foreign wars. He was against Iraq and Afghanistan when most Republicans believed we were fighting an existential threat in radical Islam. Most Republicans in Washington still believe that, but a few are waking up.

The Fourth Political Theory in Biblical Perspective

Imagine if you lived in Western Europe 500 years ago and someone told you that an explorer had just circumnavigated the world. There were now newly discovered vast continents to the West and East and huge civilizations that had never encountered each other before. What if they tried to explain the coming changes in world trade, world reserve currencies, joint-stock investment capitalism, global banking systems, the Internet? What about the Protestant Reformation, Enlightenment science, constitutional government, Liberal democratic republics? You might have scratched your head and thought you were talking to a crazy person.

Things we take as mundane reality today would have been thought of as wonders just a few years ago. Few people today understand that we are on the cusp of a monumental shift in worldview, politics, and civilizational culture that is at least as great as the changes we saw in the West beginning in the 1500s. Of course, change happens all the time, but most live as though the world we see is the only one possible. Innovations on the level described above are inconceivable. These coming tectonic quakes will shift civilizational politics. These changes are coming as fast as they began to come 500 years ago.

Are you ready, Christian, to weather the earth-shaking changes? Are you ready to lead?

This book came about because I read three books that helped me form a more cohesive worldview on geopolitics.
